Qualified WHS Specialist required for team environment based South of the River

Our client is a major supplier of services to a diversified range of industry sectors, including government, healthcare, hospitality, entertainment, facilities management and defence to name a few.

Working for one of their major WA contracts, there is an opportunity for a qualified and experienced WHS Specialist to join their team based South of the River.

Reporting to the WHS Manager, you will be responsible for all generalist workplace, health and safety activities including:

  • The provision of advice, coaching and development to line management
  • Supporting and implementing injury management prevention initiatives and strategies
  • Managing injury management programs
  • Supporting workers' compensation cases
  • Raising the branding and promotion of an effective WHS culture
  • Ensure organisational governance and WHS legislation compliance
  • Support hazard and incident reporting
  • Liaison with all concerned in relation to incident investigations, provide root cause investigations, reporting and corrective actions
  • Perform ICAM investigations where required
  • Support coaching and mentoring to other team members
  • Ad hoc project support

To be successful in your application, you will be both a qualified and experienced WHS Specialist, ideally from within one of the above sectors. You will possess a comprehensive knowledge of the WHS legislative framework and its practical applications, and ideally have prior exposure to ICAM investigations.
