Our client is a department within the South Australian government, focussed on the delivery of policy initiatives key to the development of the State's future. They're undergoing a period of workforce change and reform.

They require experienced professional for a period of up to eighteen months to provide high level workforce advice and services to managers and employees to support the operational delivery of this reform.

High level political acumen to plan and implement accurate, consistent and informative advice and support is essential. Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management skills across all workforce tiers will allow you to effectively partner with all change affected parties.

Duties include:

  • Representing and responding to the business on all aspects of workforce transition related matters which may be human resource or industrial relations focused
  • Establishing a seamless and centralised workforce management approach
  • Sourcing, critically assessing and providing high level strategic and industrial relations and workforce management advice
  • Developing, regularly reviewing and comprehensively implementing the change management needs of the business
  • Coordinating, facilitating and deploying a change management action plan in collaboration with the business, including the identification of appropriate change management milestones, risks, mitigations and solutions to meet agreed outcomes and objectives for the business
  • Resolving complex issues with innovative workforce management solutions by exercising original thinking, creativity, innovation and significant levels of independent judgment
  • Applying high level workforce management expertise to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate integrated approaches to change management
  • Determining and coordinating required resourcing including people and budget to support workforce transition related activities
  • Coordinating the design, sourcing, critical assessment and implementation of employee support services to assist them towards a successful career transition, including, but not limited to:
    • Applying high level acumen to appropriately manage critical, sensitive and/or complex information
    • Coordinating the design, drafting and implementation of significant and extensive communications across a range of stakeholders, including achieving positive and workable collaborations with technical and non-technical staff to support initiatives
  • Supporting and providing advice to senior leaders to assess and continually improve their approach to change management
  • Managing a high standard of customer service for internal and external clients and quality management and risk.
