My client is an established corporate organisation going through a period of exciting change.  The business has increased in size and is introducing this new role to support the new scale and sophistication. 

The role will assume responsibility for the existing L&D curriculum, gradually building out and refining the offering with the support of local and overseas specialists. 

Key areas of responsibility include -

• Leadership Development - focus on raising the capability of the people managers
• Management of the L&D budget & annual plan
• Localisation of suitable overseas programs (some design)
• Managing local vendors / suppliers
• Hands on coaching of leaders and occasional facilitation

The role will require outstanding interpersonal skills to develop and maintain relationships with functional colleagues, the broader HR team and local business leaders.  The role is in many ways largely a program management role so experience of project management will be crucial to your success.
