4 week contract, ASAP start, HR Advisor, Government Human Resources

Your new company

Join a large complex state government department on a 4 week contract with an ASAP start delivering HR services.

Your new role

Working closely with senior management, you will be responsible for providing advice, support and delivery across the full spectrum of the HR function, to ensure statutory compliance and understanding of relevant employment awards and legislation, together with Government Sector, Public Service and organisational policies and procedures. You will deliver advice and services in a range of areas including recruitment, industrial instruments, HR policy, organisational development, workforce planning, performance agreement, performance management, as well as provision of advice in managing workplace complaints and workers compensation and injuries matters. You will manage the project management cycle of organisational development and culture and human resource projects/activities, including developing project plans, identifying and coordinating resources, implementing actions and monitoring and evaluating to ensure project outcomes and benefits are achieved. You will build collaborative relationships while supporting and coaching managers across the organisation on a range of options, methods and implications of HR issues, particularly in relation to change management and learning programs.

What you'll need to succeed

You will therefore be action orientated, enjoy being challenged daily and confident in the delivery of HR advice to support the organisation's corporate plan and objectives.
You will have proven experience in a HR leadership role. A background working in Government will be highly desirable.
