Hays has partnered with an Australian-owned organisation who specialise in the design, installation, and maintenance of air conditioning and mechanical service systems.
Your new role
In this role you will ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety ISO 45001:2018, Quality ISO 9001, and Environment ISO 14001:2015 Management System requirements, while also ensuring effective Project Administration and efficient operation of assigned responsibilities and duties under the H&S Officer's purview.
As a key member of the team, the responsibilities and duties of this role will include, but not be limited to:

ISO Management Systems: Develop, implement, maintain, and report on ISO 45001:2018, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001:2015 systems.

Compliance and Monitoring: Ensure adherence to Australian legislation, Codes of Practice, and Standards; monitor changes.

Policy Development and Reviews: Participate in policy and procedure development for continual improvement.

Consultation and Training: Establish consultation mechanisms and assess training needs; distribute safety information and conduct training.

Audits and Reporting: Conduct internal audits, site inspections, compile data, and prepare performance reports with recommendations.
What you will need to succeed

Qualifications and Experience: Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health and Safety, Quality Management, or related discipline; 5 years in HVAC, mechanical services, or construction sector.

Skills and Knowledge: Advanced Microsoft Office skills; sound knowledge of WHS legislation and Australian Standards; experience with document management systems.

Interpersonal Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to collaborate and communicate across the business; tactful, empathetic, and reliable.

Organisational Skills: Strong attention to detail; highly organised; able to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.

Analytical and Improvement Focus: Analytical mindset; proactive; committed to continuous improvement.
