One of Australia's most respected service providers is seeking a dynamic and strategic People & Culture Manager to drive employee engagement, recruitment excellence, and performance development across a diverse operation.

Your new role

It is a 6-month contract with an immediate start. Reporting to the General Manager P&C - Qld, this pivotal role will lead the People & Culture agenda across the state, ensuring compliance with HR policies while delivering innovative solutions in recruitment, training, employee relations, and performance management. You'll be instrumental in building a safe, service-orientated, and harmonious workplace aligned with the company values and leadership principles.

Key responsibilities will include

• Lead recruitment and workforce planning aligned with contract manning levels.
• Drive employee engagement, recognition, and retention strategies
• Oversee performance management, career development, and succession planning
• Champion training initiatives including "Service with a Human Touch"
• Foster strong relationships with unions, IR consultants and regulatory bodies
• Ensure compliance with EEO, harassment, and safety policies
• Manage HR metrics, audits and continuous improvement programs
• Collaborate on the State People Plan and drive improvements
• Provide expert HR advice and support across multiple sites.

What you'll need to succeed

You will have

• Proven HR leadership experience in a multi-site or service-based environment
• Strong knowledge of industrial relations and HR compliance
• Exceptional communication, coaching and stakeholder management skills
• Passion for people development and cultural transformation
