Your new role
As the Learning & Development Manager, you will play a key strategic role within a broader talent development team, driving impactful learning initiatives that support organisational capability and long term success. This is a role where you'll influence learning strategy, lead a passionate team, and partner closely with senior stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the delivery of learning and development initiatives aligned to organisational priorities, governance, and best practice
- Providing strategic oversight and expert guidance on the learning management system, ensuring continuous optimisation and value
- Designing and implementing innovative learning solutions that support capability building and talent development
- Leading, mentoring, and developing a learning and development team to deliver high quality services
- Driving continuous improvement across learning programs, systems, and processes
- Overseeing mandatory and digital learning requirements, ensuring compliance with standards and regulatory obligations
- Managing risk, quality assurance, and complex compliance matters with confidence and professionalism
- Building strong, collaborative relationships with key internal stakeholders to enable integrated service delivery
- Contributing to strategic planning and broader organisational outcomes
- Managing budgets and related initiatives with a strong focus on accountability and impact
What you'll need to succeed
To thrive in this role, you'll bring a strong blend of leadership capability, strategic thinking, and technical expertise. Ideally, you'll have:
- Proven leadership and stakeholder engagement experience, with the ability to provide trusted, authoritative advice in complex policy, compliance, and service environments
- Advanced knowledge of learning and development principles, with demonstrated success in delivering high quality, fit for purpose capability solutions
- Experience identifying organisational capability needs and translating them into strategically aligned learning and talent initiatives within large, complex organisations
- Strong expertise in learning technologies and the management of external partnerships to deliver scalable, effective learning solutions
- Highly developed strategic, analytical, and interpersonal skills, allowing you to lead complex initiatives and influence at senior levels
