Hays is working with a well-known government-owned organisation based in Launceston in their search for a Human Resources Officer in a permanent capacity.
Your new role
This role, based in North Tasmania, reports directly to the HR Manager. As the Human Resources Officer, you will be the first point of contact for all HR-related matters. On a day-to-day basis, you will provide general support for the HR function of the organisation, assist with recruitment, handle general HR administration, offer industrial relations advice, and develop policies to enhance efficiency. Additionally, you will coordinate training, oversee performance reviews, and participate in staff-related committees.
The successful candidate will have the ability to prioritise multiple tasks simultaneously and engage with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need experience in a generalist HR role and/or relevant qualifications and a proven understanding of contemporary HR policies. Candidates must also have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment; excellent communication skills and a high attention to detail is a must.
