We are seeking an experienced People & Culture Business Partner to join a large and fast‑paced organisation on a 3‑month contract, starting ASAP. This role offers the opportunity to work within a highly experienced and collaborative HR team, supporting a diverse portfolio of stakeholders.
The role
As a trusted advisor, you will partner closely with business leaders to provide both strategic and operational HR support, contributing to key people initiatives and ensuring best‑practice outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as a key point of contact for your business units, providing expert advice on people practices, policies and procedures
- Managing a range of employees and industrial relations matters, ensuring compliant and commercially sound outcomes
- Supporting and delivering change management initiatives across the business
- Partnering with Centres of Excellence including Talent Acquisition, L&D, WHS and Payroll
- Driving employee engagement, performance and cultural initiatives
- Advising leaders on workforce planning, performance management and people strategies
About you
- Proven experience in a HR Business Partner or senior HR generalist role
- Strong ER/IR experience within complex environments
- Demonstrated ability to take a consultative approach with stakeholders
- Sound understanding of employment legislation and industrial frameworks
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and competing demands
- Experience in large or matrixed organisations highly regarded
- Local Government experience beneficial but not essential
