Our Client

Our client is within government are looking for a HR Generalist - Diversity, Equity and Inclusion to join the team for 3 months.

Your New Role

The HR Generalist is required to provide detailed technical, professional, policy, operational support, and advice in relation to complex problems. Where required, the role will coordinate and assist in the strategic planning, program and project management and policy development that support objectives. The position will have a considerable level of public contact in relation to complex, difficult or sensitive issues. It is required to liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
  • Providing professional expertise, services, and guidance that contributes to positive outcomes
  • Anticipating challenges and assisting in resolving or developing solutions to improve outcomes.
  • Working independently or under limited guidance in relation to an area of OAAI expertise.
  • Making decisions, with support for tasks with considerable complexity and sensitivity for the Agency.
  • Managing complex relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve OAAI and Agency objectives.
  • Contributing to the development of team objectives and prioritise OAAI tasks, projects, and services.
  • Assisting with strategically planning longer-term initiatives, program and project management and policy development for OAAI.
  • Developing innovative initiatives and contributing to business improvement strategies to improve the quality and efficiency of OAAI services, projects, and workplace practices.
What you need

Essential Criteria:
  • Excellent stakeholder management capability.
  • High ability to write well and succinctly.
  • Understanding of diversity, equity and inclusion.
  • Able to plan, manage and execute projects and deal with competing priorities.
Desirable criteria:
  • Tertiary HR qualifications
  • Previous experience working in HR (especially Diversity, Equity and Inclusion)

This role is paying $60.26 p/h.
