12 months parental leave standalone HR Generalist required for Perth CBD

Our client, a resources-based organisation based in Perth CBD, is seeking an experienced HR Generalist/Manager to take ownership of the full employee lifecycle and drive people-related initiatives within a small, collaborative corporate office. This is a standalone position, ideal for an HR professional who enjoys both hands-on operational work and the opportunity to deliver project-based outcomes.

Reporting to the CFO, you will be the sole HR contact for the organisation's Perth-based corporate team. You'll provide high-quality guidance across generalist HR functions, while also leading key people and culture projects.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a small, corporate environment, enjoys variety, and is confident in their ability to build trusted relationships at all levels of the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the first point of contact for all HR-related queries within the Perth office
  • Provide generalist HR advice to managers and employees, including performance review, performance management and performance development
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes
  • Lead and deliver HR projects, such as policy reviews and process improvements
  • Oversee training and development frameworks and coordinate learning activities
  • Support remuneration, benefits, and annual performance review processes
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, company policies, and best-practice HR standards
  • Management of monthly payroll, liaising with external provider and review
  • Maintain accurate HR records, reporting, and documentation
  • Partner with leadership to foster a positive, inclusive, high-performing workplace culture

To be successful in your application, you will be a demonstrated HR Generalist or HR Manager, preferably from within the mining or resources sector. You will be comfortable operating as a standalone HR professional who can deliver with limited direction. You will be an excellent communicator with strong business partnering skills. You will be proactive, organised, adaptable and possess the ability to influence change. This is a real opportunity to own the HR function and support best practice for the future. This position will be based in the office full-time but may have the opportunity to reduce to part-time after the 12 months' parental leave.
