This organisation is dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of children and young people in NSW. Their workforce is dynamic and committed, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. They are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner for a 6 month assignment, to support them with a number of priorities.

Your new role
  • Develop and Implement HR Strategies: Create and apply best practices in HR, including resource management, performance management, industrial relations, equity and diversity, recruitment, onboarding, WHS, learning and development, and other HR activities.
  • Provide Expert HR Advice: Offer expert guidance on HR activities, policies, practices, and processes to managers and employees.
  • Build Stakeholder Relationships: Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders by providing proactive advice and services to support decision-making and team engagement.
  • Manage HR Operations: Oversee daily HR operations, including employee relations, coaching, and ensuring quality advice and service.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Functions: Work with internal and outsourced providers to meet service agreements and resolve issues.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Interpret employment legislation, industrial awards, and agreements.
  • Develop HR policies, practices, and strategies.
  • Utilise HR management information systems.
  • Experience in project/change management is a plus.
  • Tertiary qualifications in HR Management, Organisational Development, Learning & Development, or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of contemporary HR practices, people and safety policies, and government legislation.
