An opportunity is available for an experienced People & Culture Business Partner to join a values driven organisation delivering essential services across residential and community settings. Working as part of a collaborative People & Culture team, this role plays a key part in supporting leaders, strengthening people capability and driving continuous improvement across the organisation.
About the Role
Reporting to a senior People & Culture leader, you will partner closely with operational leaders to deliver pragmatic, best practice People & Culture support across the employee lifecycle. This is a true generalist position, combining operational delivery with involvement in organisation wide people initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice and support on employee relations matters, including performance management, grievances, disputes and investigations
- Interpret industrial instruments, negotiate enterprise agreements and support the consistent application of awards and employment contracts
- Maintain accurate People & Culture records, databases and compliance registers
- Support the development, review and implementation of People & Culture policies and procedures
- Partner with line managers to provide practical People & Culture advice and coaching
- Participate in job sizing, position description development and organisational design activities
- Prepare and deliver People & Culture and WHS related training as required
- Contribute to the planning, implementation and continuous improvement of key People & Culture initiatives
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, organisational policies and relevant industry standards
- Contribute to workforce and People & Culture reporting requirements
- Support WHS committees, audits, training and accreditation activities
- Assist with Workers Compensation claims and Return to Work programs
About You
- A tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience in a People & Culture generalist or business partnering role
- Sound working knowledge of the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards and enterprise agreements
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to coach and influence leaders
- Confidence in managing sensitive workforce matters with professionalism and discretion
- A proactive, solutions focused mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast paced, people centred environment
