Human Resources Business Partner, Sydney CBD, perm salary up to $117k plus super

This is a permanent role based in central Sydney with a salary of up to $117,000 plus super. Based in Sydney CBD with 3 days in the office and two days working from home.

Your new role

This position requires a seasoned HR professional with strong generalist expertise, project leadership capabilities, and a passion for fostering a high-performing, inclusive, and values-driven workplace.
Key Duties include:
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to align people strategies with business objectives.
  • Provide expert guidance on workforce planning, team development, and organisational design.
  • Design and deliver key People & Culture initiatives, including cultural transformation, engagement, and inclusion programs.
  • Drive initiatives that enhance employee engagement, recognition, and capability development.
  • Support internal communications and the implementation of engagement surveys and feedback mechanisms.
  • Provides expert advice on complex employee relations matters, including performance management and grievance resolution.
  • Build leadership capability through coaching, training, and development programs.
  • Enhance HR systems and processes to improve efficiency and data-driven decision-making
  • Support the Head of People & Culture with broader organisational priorities.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience in government, not-for-profit, or creative industries.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with project management tools is desirable (e.g., Visio, Asana, Microsoft Project).
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior HR generalist or business partnering role.
  • Strong coaching and influencing skills across all levels of the organisation.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
