The Role
Located onsite in Perth, reporting to the HR Manager on a 12-month fixed term contract, this role will be an excellent opportunity for an experienced generalist HR Advisor to take the next step in their HR career. The Patties HR Team are a passionate bunch of hard-working individuals, who are dynamic, caring and like to have a bit of fun. This is a role where you will have the opportunity to influence and make a real difference.
The duties and responsibilities in this role will include but not be limited to;
- Providing best practice HR advice in accordance with Fair Work Act, all other legislative requirements and instruments, and the interpretation of the Site Enterprise Agreement.
- Lead recruitment for the Perth Site for, Technical, Factory (Production) and Trades vacancies
- Creation of contracts of employment and variations and coordinating new starter processes and revision or update employment letters for existing employees
- Support Managers with Employee Relations issues including under-performance and disciplinary matters - aligning process and decision-making with legislative and policy guidelines
- Lead Onboarding & Induction Program for professional staff
- Provide support in the lead up, implementation and post implementation of the HRIS.
- Provide support to the HR Manager in the lead up, records data cleaning, and preparation for the SMETA Audit
- Assist with the development and talent management of employees and ensuring individual development plans are being adhered to.
- Manage the Probation Review Process
- Conduct Exit Interviews & report analysis & trends
- Working with the Training Coordinator to support the effectiveness of early intervention and return-to-work programs, making necessary adjustments to improve outcomes
- Serve as a liaison between injured/ill employees, management, and healthcare providers to facilitate open and effective communication regarding treatment progress, work restrictions, and accommodation requirements
- Work with the HRM to ensure HR practices are in line with legislative compliance
- Provide general HR support and advice across the Perth site, escalating any issues to the Human Resources Manager or as required.
The Person
Are you a motivated, personable and energetic HR professional with experience in general HR advice and administration across a range of departments? The successful candidate will display this as well as the following:
- Degree qualified or equivalent proven experience in Human Resource Management is preferred but experience in a similar role will be highly regarded
- Strong demonstrated understanding in Industrial Relations, specifically the Fair Work Act, NES, Enterprise Agreements and Contracts of Employment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- High level of attention to detail and be able to prioritise a busy workflow
- Strong stakeholder management and people skills
- Proven recruitment experience
- Experience within FMCG is favourable but not essential.
