About the role

In this role you will work with the Employee Relations team to provide specialised advice and services in the area of employment relations to various stakeholders across Brisbane Catholic Education (BCE), which is a large and complex organisation. 

This vacancy is to replace an employee on Maternity Leave. 


  • Provide specialised advice and support to managers, principals and senior leaders in the BCE office and schools on a wide range of complex employee relations matters
  • Provide a broad range of services and advice regarding enterprise bargaining negotiations and agreements
  • Develop, draft and implement policy and procedures
  • Undertake and assist with workplace investigations
  • Undertake research of employee relations matters pertaining to BCE


  • Hold a relevant degree qualification in Industrial Relations, Employee Relations or Law
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in employee relations / industrial relations field
  • Hold a current driver’s licence

Skills & Experience

  • At least 5 years' experience relevant to the role
  • High level communication skills with a strong ability to engage, communicate and work effectively with people at all levels
  • Embedded understanding of employment legislation
  • Analytical and technical skills to interpret and report on data
  • Experience in writing policies and procedures
  • Ability to work effectively, both independently and collaboratively as a member of a team
