Your new role
As an APS6 Performance & Code of Conduct Advisor, you will manage complex performance and conduct cases, provide expert advice to managers, and contribute to the development of policies and frameworks that support a high-performing and ethical workforce.
Your responsibilities will include:

Managing and advising on complex employee performance and conduct matters

Coordinating investigations and preparing documentation in line with the APS Code of Conduct and relevant legislation

Providing strategic advice to managers on performance management, misconduct, and behavioural concerns
-
Supporting the development and implementation of performance frameworks and capability-building initiatives
-
Liaising with internal stakeholders, legal teams, and external investigators as required
-
Ensuring compliance with the Public Service Act, APS Values, and agency-specific policies
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have:
-
Demonstrated experience in managing performance and conduct matters within the APS
-
Strong understanding of the APS Code of Conduct, Public Service Act, and related frameworks

Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
-
High-level analytical and documentation skills
-
A current Baseline security clearance or the ability to obtain one (highly desirable)
