Your new role
As an AO5 HR Advisor, you'll play a key role in supporting strategic HR service delivery across the branch. You'll work closely with stakeholders to understand resourcing needs, develop and update role descriptions, and manage recruitment and selection processes. You'll apply HR policies and frameworks to achieve business outcomes, prepare high-quality correspondence and reports, and support the Principal HR Advisor in building a mature HR function.
This is a 9-month contract with potential for extension, based in Brisbane CBD.
What you'll need to succeed
To thrive in this role, you'll bring:
- Recent Queensland Government experience
- Proven ability to work independently as an HR Advisor
- Strong recruitment and selection experience within the public sector
- Sound judgement and critical thinking skills
- A solid understanding of HR legislation, industrial agreements, and policies
- Excellent written communication tailored to diverse audiences
- Strong relationship management and project delivery capabilities
