About Them
This dynamic organisation provides its customers and the communities of NSW with a “one-stop shop” across it’s many areas of management responsibility. They provide a range of functions from the planning of developments through to owning and operating infrastructure. They also provide regulatory oversight and licensing services as well as ensuring that the communities of NSW are consistently and reliably provided safe resources.

About the Role
This role will support the development of the business as it delivers its 3 year strategy. Bought together through the merger of a number of organisations and employing a wide range of people in a complex business of approximately 900 people, they are looking to build a consistent and high quality employee experience and this role will be a key to achieving this outcome. The role will lead a high quality and well regarded P&C Team to build and deliver people strategy through to program execution.

A key to the success of the role will be the building of constructive relations with the Leadership Team to ensure that a collaborative and pro-active People & Culture function contributes to delivering long term business success through responsibilities that include:  
  • Providing support and advice to the leadership group in improving engagement, performance and alignment;  
  • Delivery of programs that build the capability of leaders at all levels;
  • Leading the People & Culture team to operationalise newly developed organisational structures to create robust and sustainable Human Resources systems and processes
  • Innovatively creating and embedding a culture of “One Team” though policies and processes
  • Redesign Recruitment and development processes to reflect newly developed Capability frameworks
About You
The successful candidate will have developed significant generalist experience through their career and have had the opportunity to lead teams in commercial style organisations that are geographically distributed and industrial in nature. They will demonstrate that they can lead the implementation of new frameworks, policies and procedures reflecting contemporary thinking and practices in the areas of talent attraction, talent retention, talent development and performance appraisal. Other key areas of capability include;
  • Highly developed relationship management influencing skills;
  • Capacity to drive culture change;
  • An ability to deliver and drive to an outcome; and
  • Experience in industrialised workforce settings that are geographically dispersed.
