Coordinate and manage APS end-to-end recruitment operations and provide specialist recruitment advice.

Your new company
This is a large federal government department responsible for safety regulation of civil air operations in Australia.

Your new role
Working in People & Culture team, your role will predominantly require you to provide advice and guidance to managers on appropriate job structure, attraction and recruitment strategies, based on an understanding of the Agency and the candidate markets. You will be proactively involved in reviewing new or updated job descriptions and providing recommendations on the appropriate classifications and work level standards to managers. As a Recruitment Adviser, you will actively assist with the ongoing development of recruitment policy and procedures and tools through appropriate consultation with staff and management.

Further, your role will require you to coordinate end to end recruitment and establishment services including but not limited to:

  • Recruitment of permanent and non-ongoing roles.
  • Design, coordinate and lodge advertisements through the agency's e-recruitment, advertising agency for print media and social media forums.
  • Provide consultancy advice to selection panels in regard to the recruitment and selection process, ensuring compliance with the Agency's policy, procedures and legislative requirements.
  • Develop and produce reports including data manipulation where required
  • Provide support to the Agency's e-recruitment users.
  • Provide assistance with establishment, workforce planning and job structure actions and processes, including organisational reporting and changes to the organisational structure.
  • Participate in the development, implementation and maintenance of other People and Culture projects as appropriate.


What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successfully considered for this role, you will need to demonstrate previous experience in successfully running contemporary recruitment practices and processes within government and/or private sector. Experience in the APS recruitment operations including planning and project managing recruitment activities, providing high level administrational recruitment assistance, designing and developing on-boarding campaigns is desirable. Previous experience using an e-recruitment system and technical recruitment knowledge would be highly advantageous.

You must be an Australian citizen and will possess or be willing to go through the process to obtain and maintain a (Baseline, NV1 or NV2) personnel security clearance.
